Mike graduated from UC Davis (HBU) with a double major in Psychology and Communications. Mike was a 4 year starting middle linebacker, as well as a 2 year captain. He received 1st Team Associated Press All American Honors his senior year. After college, Mike was signed with the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL) for their first mini camp, as well as participating in private workouts for the San Francisco 49ers of the NFL and San Jose Sabercats of the Arena Football League (AFL). Once his football career finished, he took on CrossFit and qualified for the Northern California Regionals, where he placed 36th overall. From there is qualified for regional 4 more times and took 3rd in the state of California apart of Team ENDGAME. They finish 21 in the world at the 2017 CROSSFIT GAMES. Mike takes his vast training experiences, passion, personality and overall training knowledge into every one of his classes and programs. Focusing on the fundamentals and the core, he sets his athletes up with a solid foundation which they can build from and strive to attain the goals they have set for themselves!

Co-Owner/Director of Sports Performance
Matt joined Advance(d) Sports Performance and Fitness as Co-Owner and Director of Sports Performance in July 2015, after serving as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at UC Davis since September of 2007. He brings over 10 years of high level strength and conditioning experience at the Division 1 level. At UC Davis, Matt oversaw the design and implementation of comprehensive sport specific training programs for all 22 of the Aggies' athletic teams competing in Division 1 athletics. Prior to UC Davis, Matt held the same position at Lafayette College, having spent 2 years as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach there as well. He also has served as Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach with Rutgers University football and Springfield College. During his undergraduate and graduate schooling, Matt also completed internships at Rutgers University, College of the Holy Cross, and Cornell University.
Matt's passion for sports performance does not end with coaching, he is a two-time national powerlifting champion and twice captured powerlifting gold medals at the A.A.U. Junior Olympic games. He continues his competitive career in powerlifting and has also competed in amateur strongman contests as well. He has totaled elite in both the 220 and 242lb weight classes in powerlifting.

Keahn was born and raised in the Bay Area. He graduated from Mills High School in 2010 where he played water polo for four years on the Varsity Team. While at Mills, Keahn received several awards including, Most Improved Player (freshman year) and Most Valuable Player (senior year). Keahn was put into the Mills Athletic Hall of Fame for his achievements in sports. Keahn’s passion for sports soon developed into a career. After High School he started a job with a local sports youth facility. There Keahn coached children in basketball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, football and speed & agility. Keahn has been apart of the staff at Advance(d) Sports Performance since its establishment in 2013. One of his biggest passions is Olympic Weight Lifting and he carries that love and knowledge in his programming and coaching. Keahn runs the programing for our AdvancedFit classes as well as leads our Youth Speed & Agility groups. He can also be found teaching our foundation classes and semi-private olympic lifting groups. Whether your goal is to move big weights or just move off the couch, Coach Keahn will be there to help you, full of his youthful energy and continually growing knowledge for health and fitness.
